Q. What high school did you go to?

  1. The Morgan School in Clinton.

Q. What is your favorite part of teaching?

  1. Talking to the students and getting to know them. It would definitely not be grading because I hate grading.

Q. What is your favorite unit in science?

  1. In biology, it is the inheritance unit. My favorite class is biotechnology because I worked in the business of it before and I have a degree in that field.

Q. Have you taught anywhere else?

  1. I have not taught anywhere else. This is my sixteenth year working here.

Q. What would you change about the curriculum?

  1. I would make the biotechnology unit two trimesters because there is so much to cover and I feel like I can't get to everything in one trimester.

Q. How do you feel about cell phone usage during class?

  1. I hate it and I think that they should be left in the students’ lockers.

Q. If you weren't a teacher what would you want to work as?

  1. I would go back to working with biotechnology.

Q. How is the golf team going?

  1. They have only had one match so far and lost, but it was a very close match. They only lost by seven strokes.

Q. What kind of music does your band play and how often do you practice?

  1. I am in two bands. I play the bass guitar and sing. The types of music we play are classic rock, country, pop, 80’s rock. Each band tries to practice once a week.

Q. What is the hardest song for you to sing/play?

  1. “Wiser Time,” by the band The Black Crowes. The notes are very high and the singer of the original band has a great voice; it is super hard to match. During rehearsal, my voice would crack when learning to sing it.

Q. What is a cool fact about you that you want people to know?

  1. I enjoy building guitars. At this point, I have built 11 of them.
