Boys track team races towards record breaking time of 43.22 By Alex Price

On January 3, members of Hand’s boys indoor track team: Nate Kraft, Adean Virgulto, John Daniels and Chris Bonivita broke the Hand school record at Hillhouse High School with a time of 43.22 in the sprint medley 4X400 relay event!

“The boys have worked hard, and knew they had a shot at breaking the record, but they were shocked it came this early in the season,” Tim Geary, head coach, said.

The sprint medley team placed second at The Southern Connecticut Conference East Championship meet (SCC) on February 2, 2024, with Liam Elliot running for John Daniels.

In addition, the team placed 3rd at the State Open Championship with Daniels running which has led them to qualify for the New England Championship.
