Homecoming At Hand
On October 21, students at Hand attended homecoming in the cafetorium at the high school.
With COVID hitting hard in 2020, many seniors did not get to experience homecoming as lowerclassmen. The student council put in a lot of effort to make sure homecoming was enjoyable and ran smoothly.
“I thought it was pretty good,” Kate Rizzo, freshman, said. “I mean, it wasn’t too fun as a freshman, I was kinda in the back and there were dance circles.”
Nicole Bettuchi, freshman, said she disliked that there wasn’t a lot of light source and felt that there should have been snacks. She said that the decorations were pretty lowkey and she would have liked to see more decorations throughout the dance. She said there were a lot in the entrance, but no one was around them.
Ava Aboulian, freshman, said she would like to be able to request songs, have more decorations, and she wishes there were snacks at the dance.
“I thought the music was pretty bad; I mean there were a lot of songs that I didn’t know,” Kate Rizzo said. “There were a lot of fast rapping songs.”
